Faculty & Mentorship

Teachers Who Know Every Student by Name

With an 8:1 student-to-faculty ratio, every Ashford Ridge teacher serves as both instructor and mentor. Our faculty hold advanced degrees from leading universities and bring real-world expertise into small, discussion-driven classrooms where no student goes unnoticed.

Teaching Philosophy

The Harkness Inquiry Method

Inspired by the great seminar traditions of Phillips Exeter, our Harkness-method classrooms place students at the center of learning. Around oval tables, students debate primary sources, challenge assumptions, and build arguments — developing the communication and analytical skills that distinguish Ashford Ridge graduates in college and beyond.

Our faculty don’t simply teach subjects — they ignite passions. When a student walks into my classroom, I want them to leave not just with knowledge, but with the courage to question, the discipline to persist, and the confidence to lead.
